Ibn Batuta Mall

Ibn Battuta Mall is a large shopping mall on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai close to Interchange 6 for Jebel Ali Village. It is named after famous traveller and explorer Ibn Battuta.

Ibn Battuta Mall boasts the only IMAX theatre in the country and also offers a 21 screen Cinema Megaplex, located in the Chin court. There are two large food courts, located at both ends (Andalusia and China) of the mall, as well as several coffee shops, scattered throughout the mall.

The mall is split into six main courts; China, India, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia and Andalusia with linking shopping and circulation areas. All the major outlets found in almost all of the shopping malls elsewhere in Dubai and the Middle East are represented. Géant, a large French supermarket chain has a store here.

The mall features exhibits of ancient technological inventions, especially from the Middle East.

The only large mall in the Jumeirah area of Dubai, Mercato is modelled on a European shopping arcade and is a more laid back and relaxed place to shop than many of Dubai's other malls, Mercato offers a good mix of extremely upmarket stores, and more everyday places too.

Deira City Center

With a rising number of shops, food courts, cinemas and an entertainment centre, Deira City Centre is one of the most popular shopping malls in Dubai. Bag a bargain at the 370 independent outlets selling rugs, jewellery and antiques or visit your favourite chain shop to pick up a fashion item, then relax over a cup of coffee while the children entertain themselves at the Magic Planet amusement centre.
